“A few years ago, I was more likely to be found sweating inside a nightclub than racking my bike in transition ready for a race at 7am in the morning. Then in 2007, a couple of mates and I challenged each other to race the London Triathlon while out having a drink in the pub. The more I trained, the more I began to see and feel the benefits of improved fitness, health and well-being. Despite the horrendous near drowning experience of that first open water swim, some of the slowest transitioning in history, cramping and a stitch on the run, I was hooked from the euphoric moment I crossed the finishing line. Who cares that our times were not exactly impressive….inspired by our new found love of racing, we had found a whole new way of living.’’

Launched in 2012 by our Founder Charlie Evans, we are a UK-based lifestyle and performance apparel label for the athletic community. Bonk was borne out of an addiction to the swim, bike, run lifestyle and though our roots lie firmly in Triathlon, our brand is evolving and aspires to unify people with a passion for fitness and endurance sports.
From humble beginnings selling a small range of t-shirts at South East England triathlon events, we’ve gone on to deliver a range of lifestyle clothing collections; the first ever company to design casual wear dedicated to the fast-growing world of triathletes and more latterly, quality technical training wear.
Training and pushing physical boundaries are the very heartbeat of the Bonk brand, echoed in our ‘Live to Train’ mantra. Bonk is committed to the athletic lifestyle but we also prefer not to take ourselves too seriously; a sense of fun underpins our entire ethos. This is reflected both in the playfulness of our brand name* and the fresh designs of our clothing which celebrates the camaraderie, the fun, the dedication and the competitive spirit that are all part of being an athlete.
*Bonk is the jargon term used by endurance athletes to describe a condition when the glycogen stores in the liver and muscles are depleted, resulting in a major performance drop
Bonk’s roots will always lie firmly in Triathlon; the sport of swim, bike, run was the birthplace of our brand and the dashed underline of the logo signifies the relevant distances of the three disciplines. Moving forward our goal is to unify people with a passion for fitness that like to have fun – whatever the sport and we want to pay tribute to this through the clothes that we wear on our backs.

2017 has been somewhat of a transition year for Bonk, we've been using our knowledge and expertise to diversify into supplying Event Merchandise, which has gone really well and we’re soon to launch our own high performance range of custom apparel for Triathlon, Cycling & Running. As a result our own Bonk branded retail range is currently limited to the Comeback Collection - a ride inspired collection of lifestyle t-shirts. However, we have an exciting collection in the works for Spring/Summer 2018 which will include lifestyle t-shirts, tech t-shirts, classic hoodies and cycle jerseys! Watch this space….
